Introduction
In modern complex world, changes are taking place rapidly due to emergence of new techniques and development in Commerce, Banking and Industrial sectors. These developments have resulted in the change of recruitment policies of employers. Now they employ graduates against managerial positions, who possess the required skills and are equipped with the latest tools and techniques to tackle different business decision situations. Thus to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow to cater the needs of the Industrial and services sectors, the ISP Authorities decided to start a two years M Com Program to establish the Department of Commerce at the Campus.
The Department also aims at promoting research on various local national issues. Library serves as a resource centre for scholars, researchers and trend setters particularly of alumni of the Institute. In fact library plays vital and pivotal role in the domain of University / Institute academic life in providing up to date information and helps to keep abreast with the changing time. Library is not mere dump store or rubbish heap of books but it is a dynamic instrument of education. The library collections support not only every branch of knowledge in the curriculum but include selected stock of text book, reference books and general material of books, periodical, magazines, journals, publications and news papers etc. These facilities engage students for sharpening their creative abilities, development of academic culture and interactive learning. The Department has well stocked library plus a collection of national and international journals Computer facilities are also available to the staff and research students.
