MULTAN THE CITY OF SAINTS

Multan is very old, ancient and historical city. It has passed through many ups and downs of frequent changes of carrier and fortune but has always been acknowledged as a place of great culture civilization has grown from strength to strengtghantah to occupy, as it does today, a very distinguished and honourable position among the cities of Pakistan.
This thriving city has changed its name several times in its ancient history that can be traced back to 4000 years or more. The older part of the city still exists within the defense wall. There is much a famed Qasim Fort situated on knoll. Many artifacts, remains, old buildings, tombs and mausoleum are the monuments of craftsmanship, skills and perfection of the artisans. Their handicrafts are exhibited at various places in the city. mizarIn fact Multan has rich treasures of cultural heritage of arts, crafts and traditions, which is inherited of its old civilization. The Cultural scene of Multan has a special impression of classical craft making and exclusive architecture.
The Multan city is about 740 ft. above sea level. It is located almost in the centre of Pakistan. It is situated at a distance of about 950 km from Karachi and 630 km from Islamabad, it is about 25 kilometers from the river Chenab. The vast plain of Multan Division is dissected by rivers, canals and distributaries, forming an ideal agricultural base for the economic development of the region, that can boast of producing the country’s best silver crop (Cotton) and fruit crops-Mangoes, Citrus, and Dates.
Multan has remained the centre of education through out its history. A Muslim religious scholar, Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya, established a school of higher learning in Theology in the 8th Century Hijra (1300 A.D) in Multan, where scholars from all over the world came for studies and research and after receiving education spread the light of knowledge in various parts of the world. We are determined & committed to follow the tradition in its true perspective for facilitating our students to satisfy, relish and cherish their dream to acquire highest state of the art education to enrich the horizon of their visions and enhancement of their spectrum so that they may play vital role in the development of the society and country as a whole.
