BS. Architecture

Introduction

Consistent with the technological needs at large, the B. Arch. program also caters to the PCATP standards of accreditation in addition to that of the Higher Education Commission, where basic sciences and mathematical skills are necessitated. An Architect graduate would be able to undertake design, planning, construction, technical operations, and maintenance of urban and rural infrastructure by applying his/her knowledge in all stages of the Architectural process and inter-disciplinary projects. The architecture program educates students who contribute to the local and global community through the design, construction, and interpretation of the built environment.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

PEO-I

To impart state-of-the-art knowledge to the students in the field of Architecture.

PEO-II

To offer real-life learning opportunities in diverse fields of Architecture.

PEO-III

To address the progression of Architecture knowledge in advanced nations to keep themselves abreast with the latest trends.

PEO-IV

To impress upon them the spirit of discipline, teach them the code of ethics of the Architecture profession & impress upon them to follow it during their practical life.

PEO-V

To provide them knowledge about our built environment and its improvement.

Programs Learning Outcomes (PLOs)

The program aims at training the professionals with

PLO-I

The ability to create an architectural design incorporating aesthetic and technical requirements that should be environmentally sustainable.

PLO-II

A sound understanding of the connection between people, buildings, and their environment, and the need to relate buildings and the spaces between them to human needs and scales.

PLO-III

Satisfactory knowledge of the history and theories of architecture and the related arts, technologies, and human sciences.

PLO-IV

Sufficient knowledge about multiple stages of improvement to protect our built environment.

PLO-V

Necessary technical skills in design/analysis consistent with Higher Education Commission (HEC) & PCATP accreditation standards & National technological needs.

PLO-VI

An Architect graduate would be able to undertake planning, design, construction, operations, and maintenance of urban and rural infrastructure by applying his/her knowledge in all stages of Architecture and inter-disciplinary projects.

Eligibility Criteria

Intermediate or equivalent with at least 50 % marks.

Architecture students have good communication skills and time management to complete projects on time. Architecture graduates go on to a range of professions, including:
