B.Sc. Engineering Technology (Electrical)

Introduction

The Department offers 4 years BSc Engineering Technology (Electrical) degree program. The Engineering Technology (Electrical) program by the Best University in Multan provides skills needed for a variety of in-demand jobs related to electrical engineering, network analysis, electromagnetic, communication technology, control technology, electrical machines, switchgear and protective devices, power system analysis, power generation, transmission, distribution, and utilization.

Mission of Institute

The Institute will produce highly qualified and committed individuals who will play a leading role in the sustainable development of the region and the country. The human resource, thus produced will be equipped with the necessary knowledge and skill to act as solution provider for many issues of the region and the country while respecting the ethical values.

Department of Electrical Engineering Technology focuses to prepare technically strong graduates who can contribute effectively towards the nation, society, and industry by using modern techniques, interpersonal and professional skills while respecting ethical values.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

The graduates of the Electrical Engineering program offered by the Best University in Multan will have the following capabilities/ skills / attributes four years after their graduation.

 

PEO-I

To equip graduates of Electrical Engineering Technology with knowledge, analyze real-life problems and provide feasible solutions by utilizing modern tools for the benefit of the society.

PEO-II

To prepare graduates who can work as individual or team with a sense of ethics and professionalism, and communicate effectively to manage cross-cultural and multidisciplinary teams.

PEO-III

To stimulate the innovative and viable learning attitude for social needs considering environmental and global factors in their lives and work.

The graduate attributes known as program learning outcomes (PLOs) of the department are listed below:

Engineering Technology Knowledge

An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, natural science, engineering technology fundamentals and engineering technology specialization to defined and applied engineering technology procedures, processes, systems or methodologies.

Problem Analysis

An ability to Identify, formulate, research literature and analyze broadly-defined engineering technology problems reaching substantiated conclusions using analytical tools appropriate to the discipline or area of specialization.

Design/Development of Solutions

An ability to design solutions for broadly- defined engineering technology problems and contribute to the design of systems, components or processes to meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

Investigation

An ability to conduct investigations of broadly-defined problems; locate, search and select relevant data from codes, data bases and literature, design and conduct experiments to provide valid conclusions.

Modern Tool Usage

An ability to Select and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern technology and IT tools, including prediction and modeling, to broadly-defined engineering technology problems, with an understanding of the limitations.

The Engineering Technologist and Society

An ability to demonstrate understanding of the societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to engineering technology practice and solutions to broadly defined engineering technology problems.

Environment and Sustainability

An ability to understand and evaluate the sustainability and impact of engineering technology work in the solution of broadly defined engineering technology problems in societal and environmental contexts.

Understand and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of engineering technology practice.

An ability to function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams.

An ability to communicate effectively on broadly defined engineering technology activities with the engineering technologist community and with society at large, by being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.

An ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of engineering technology management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member or leader in a team and to manage projects in multidisciplinary environments.

50% marks in F.Sc. Pre – Engineering / DAE / Electrical
