B.Sc Energy Engineering Technology


Bachelor of Engineering Technology Energy (B.E. Tech Energy) program at Institute of Southern Punjab is designed to address the critical challenge of modern energy demands and environmental sustainability. As the world shifts towards cleaner and more efficient energy solutions, our program provides a robust foundation in the principles and technologies that drive the energy sector. Through a multidisciplinary curriculum, students in the Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Energy) program explore the diverse facets of energy production, distribution, and utilization. From renewable energy sources like solar, wind, and hydroelectric power to energy efficiency measures and smart grid technologies, students delve into the latest advancements shaping the future of energy. Moreover, with a focus on sustainability and environmental stewardship, the program empowers students to critically evaluate the social, economic, and environmental impacts of energy systems, preparing them to address real-world challenges with innovative solutions.

Central to the B.E. Tech Energy program is a commitment to experiential learning and hands-on application. Program Mission

To produce trained human resource in the discipline of Energy Engineering Technology for exploiting energy resources to enhance economic growth of the country.

Eligibility Criteria

At least 50% marks in DAE/FSc (Pre-engineering) or other equivalent qualifications such as A-level/ICS/B.Sc. (sports and Hafiz-e-Quran marks are not included) and

Entrance Test: 30% for Entrance Test

Weightage: 70% for academics (DAE/FSc etc.)

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

Apply engineering technology knowledge and modern tools to exploit renewable and non-renewable energy resources to solve the country’s energy crises and to provide new solutions using innovative designs and techniques.

Function effectively in multidisciplinary teams for energy solutions and overcome professional challenges through innovative thinking and effective communication while upholding ethical norms.

Demonstrate a responsible attitude towards society and environment, and engage in life-long learning process to maintain professional competency through trainings, professional certifications and advanced degree.

Programs Learning Outcomes (PLOs)

An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, natural science, engineering technology fundamentals and engineering technology specialization to defined and applied engineering technology procedures, processes, systems or methodologies.

An ability to identify, formulate, research literature and analyze broadly-defined engineering technology problems reaching substantiated conclusions using analytical tools appropriate to the discipline or area of specialization.

An ability to design solutions for broadly- defined engineering technology problems and contribute to the design of systems, components or processes to meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

An ability to conduct investigations of broadly-defined problems; locate, search and select relevant data from codes, data bases and literature, design and conduct experiments to provide valid conclusions.

An ability to Select and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern technology and IT tools, including prediction and modeling, to broadly-defined engineering technology problems, with an understanding of the limitations.

An ability to demonstrate understanding of the societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to engineering technology practice and solutions to broadly defined engineering technology problems.

An ability to understand and evaluate the sustainability and impact of engineering technology work in the solution of broadly defined engineering technology problems in societal and environmental contexts.

Understand and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of engineering technology practice

An ability to function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams.

An ability to communicate effectively on broadly defined engineering technology activities with the engineering technologist community and with society at large, by being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.
