BS Mass Communication (2 Years)

Introduction

BS program in Mass communication is specially designed to cater to the needs of 21st-century media requirements. The students are given a variety of opportunities to express themselves and try out modern tools of communication. A wide range of courses is integrated to make the BS Mass Communication program at par with the international standards. Students are taken onboard to plan, organize and develop content for audiences of different scope and segments. A dedicated studio is placed in parallel with the academic curriculum to test new ideas and build creative concepts.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

To empower the students to apply the conceptual & practical approaches for a profound comprehension of communication, social communication, mass communication & global communication skillfully.

To foster basic and evaluative ability in students to discover the barriers in the communication process, offer solutions and ways to reach the targeted audiences.

To analyze the emergence of social media and its impact on journalism practices, create virtual communities to foster the principles of media production and reporting on digital media.

To provide opportunities for a better understanding of the communication process, to uncover the complexities, and make reasonable adjustments in the respective field.

To offer pragmatic experience on media content creation through training in ISP Studio, Southern Scholars & computer lab.

To develop confidence in students by allowing them to practice media studies in real-time situations.

Create, analyze and evaluate the contents, produce videos, and record audio copies in the studio.
