BS Statistics

Introduction

The aims and objectives of BS Statistics are to adapt the international standards to provide the sound footings of Statistical theory with its applications so that the students of the Best University in Multan can pursue higher degrees and research in the field of Statistics. The other relating objects are to train the students, for data collection, analysis, and use of statistical software so that they can compete in the job market. Moreover to involve the students in research projects for better training in the field of research, which can be built a sound foundation for strategic and operational decisions based on statistical theory in every discipline of life.

Accreditations

BS Statistics (04 years) program is recognized by HEC Pakistan.

Career Prospects

After completing BS Statistics (4 years), the students can work in the fields such as:

  • Federal Bureau of Statistics,
  • Punjab Development Department
  • Agriculture Census Department,
  • State Bank of Pakistan
  • Other Statistical organizations for the planning of their projects.

Eligibility Criteria

Intermediate or equivalent with at least 2nd division.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

Get admission in an institute/university for pursuing their studies for M.Phil. degree.

Identify and solve statistical problems using their subject knowledge and relevant techniques.

Enhance their intellectual capabilities by taking initiatives for their professional growth in Statistics and allied disciplines.

Work hard as an individual or as a team member while demonstrating interpersonal skills and high ethical values.

Pursue professional career in Education, Business and Finance, Govt. Departments as well as Private organizations and will be able to elevate themselves to middle level management within ten years.

Communicate effectively with their colleagues, seniors and society.

The students will apply ethical principles and shall commit to high ethical values and norms with statistical community and society.

The students will have the ability to pursue higher studies for M.Phil. degree.

The students will have the ability to communicate effectively statistical ideas and presentations with their own community as well as society.
