BS Urdu
Introduction
BS in Urdu at the ISP Multan is a 04-year program specifically designed to up-skill the students who harbor a passion for the Urdu Language. The Best University in Multan follows the mission to encourage the learners to read and analyze a wide range of creative and critical texts critically, with the aim to orient them to various traditions of writing/speaking in Urdu. Being highly interdisciplinary in nature, the program enables students to connect their knowledge of Urdu language, several areas of social sciences as well as language & Literature such as philosophy, psychology, Statistics, Mathematics & Statistics Pak Studies, English, Islamiyat Arabic, Education, Computer, and History & Geography. The program allows the students a considerable degree of choice, both in pursuing their area of interest and in selecting a topic of their curiosity for writing their dissertations in the final semesters. Thus, the intensive and extensive focused learning and practice that the students experience during their four-year stay at the Department fully concoct them for pursuing advanced studies and an array of professions and career opportunities.

Intermediate or equivalent with at least 2nd division

There is a wide array of opportunities in government and private sectors available to BS Urdu graduates, including editing, teaching, newspaper reporting, as well as employed social media writers in various research firms.
Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)
Educate students in both the artistry and utility of the Urdu language through the study of Literature and other contemporary forms of culture.
Provide students with the critical faculties necessary in an academic environment, on the job, and in an increasingly complex, interdependent world.
Graduate students who are capable of performing research, analysis, and criticism of literary and cultural texts from different historical periods and genres.
Assist students in the development of intellectual flexibility, creativity, and cultural literacy so that they may engage in life-long learning.
