Criteria of Research Incentive/Best Researcher Award

Since HEC has already categorized the journals in W, X, and Y categories in different disciplines. A similar method is followed for Research Award to Best Researchers in ISP. It is an international practice that the principal author/corresponding author is given importance over co-authors. It is noted that some paid journals publish substandard and plagiarized material. To Score out these issues, the following criteria will be followed in future:

  1. For publication in W category Journal 4 marks will be given to the author if he/she is a first/corresponding author. Otherwise, the marks will be equally divided amongst all authors. For example, if the author is not a principal/corresponding author and the total number of authors is five then 4/5 marks will be given to each author.
  2. For publication in X category journal (having impact factor or no impact factor), 2 marks will be given to the author if he/she is the first/corresponding author. Otherwise, the marks will be equally divided amongst the total number of authors. For example, if the author is not the first/corresponding author and the total number of authors is five then 2/5 marks will be given to each author.
  3. For paper published in Y Category (international HEC recognized Journal) first/corresponding author will be given 1 mark. Otherwise, the marks will be equally divided amongst the total number of authors. For example, if the author is not the first/corresponding author and the total number of authors is five then 1/5 marks will be given to each author.
  4. For papers published in Y category (local HEC recognized journal), 0.5 mark will be given to the first/corresponding author. Otherwise, the marks will be equally divided amongst the total number of authors. For example, if the author is not the first/corresponding author and the total number of authors is five then 0.5/5 marks will be given to each author.
