B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering

Introduction

The Best University in Multan offers four years BSc Mechanical Engineering degree program. The scheme of studies of Mechanical Engineering designed to cover all fundamental principles and applications of the Mechanics of Materials, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamic, Mechanics of Machine, Power Plant, Manufacturing Process, IC Engine, and Refrigeration & Air Condition. We offer students a unique hands-on experience in state-of-the-art labs and instruction from our competent faculty.

Program Mission

The mission of Department of Mechanical Engineering & Technology is to provide excellent knowledge and enrich the students with analytical capability in the field of Mechanical Engineering and Technology, so that students are able to perform an interdisciplinary approach that will result in the delivery of innovative solutions via Problem Based Learning. Department in this way would  pro-duce socially responsible, ethical, and highly trained Mechanical Engineering Technology graduates with knowledge of modern tools, and would provide them a collaborative environment and the re-quired interpersonal skills.

F.Sc. (Pre Engineering), relevant DAE or equivalent with at least 1st Division.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

To produce mechanical engineering professionals and innovators capable of identifying, investigating and solving diversified problems by using their knowledge and expertise.

To prepare mechanical engineering graduates contributing individually as well as a team member and be equipped to provide sustainable solutions of broad interdisciplinary problems using modern tools.

To produce and enable mechanical graduates to be engaged in professional activities  ethically and thereby improving the knowledge and contributing towards the society through life-long learning.

Programs Learning Outcomes (PLOs)

An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems

An ability to identify, formulate, research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering sciences.

An ability to design solutions for complex engineering problems and design systems, components or processes that meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

An ability to investigate complex engineering problems in a methodical way including literature survey, design and conduct of experiments, analysis and interpretation of experimental data, and synthesis of information to derive valid conclusions.

An ability to create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools, including prediction and modeling, to complex engineering activities, with an understanding of the limitations.

An ability to apply reasoning informed by contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to professional engineering practice and solution to complex engineering problems.

An ability to understand the impact of professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts and demonstrate knowledge of, and need for, sustainable development

Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of engineering practice.

An ability to Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse team.
